Light Studio is committed to ethics in the lighting industry. We work directly with architects, engineers, and provide support for lighting agencies as well. Light Studio clearly defines our ethics based on each individual project. Here are examples demonstrating how we prioritize ethics as a fundamental part of our business values:
If Light Studio has a contract to work on a specific project with an architecture and/or engineering design professional, we will decline any work from lighting agencies on the same project. We will remain brand agnostic for our AE design professional clients to ensure a fair bid for the project owner.
Light Studio's contracts with lighting agencies are an hourly fee for lighting calculations and controls layouts. Lighting Studio does not earn product commissions off our lighting agency support. If we are working on a specific project with a lighting agency, then later asked to provide a contract by an AE design professional on the same project, Light Studio will decline the AE design contract due to any conflict of interest.
Light Studio keeps records of each project we work on with our clients to ensure ethics and owner advocacy are never in question. Transparency is important in our industry. Light Studio is committed to transparent and sincere communication with every client, upholding the highest ethical standards at all times.
Haley Hull has over two decades of lighting design experience working in the engineering industry prior to founding Light Studio. Haley has consistently demonstrated strong ethical values in her work throughout her career in this industry. Ethics and owner advocacy will remain core elements of Light Studio's business values.
